The island
COMO's largest private island resort in the Maldives features multi-room villas both above water and in tropical gardens. We're surrounded by uninhabited islands, world-class surf breaks, and thriving marine life - a world apart, in the Indian Ocean.
COMO Maalifushi is a private island resort in the southerly Thaa Atoll, a 60-minute seaplane flight from Malé International Airport or 45 minutes from sister property COMO Cocoa Island. It comprises 59 beach and overwater suites and villas, all with private pools. There are three dining venues - Madi for local, Mediterranean, Indonesian and Thai-influenced dishes plus the signature COMO Shambhala Kitchen, Thila pool and lounge bar for salads, pizzas and wood-baked seafood, and Tai for Japanese-inspired sashimi and sushi with an ocean-facing cocktail bar. COMO Shambhala Retreat provides holistic Asian-inspired therapies from eight overwater treatment rooms, alongside a gym, open-air yoga pavilion and yoga studio.

Nestled in the shade of COMO Maalifushi's lush gardens, Beach Suites have direct access to the beach and are extremely spacious and private, making them ideal for couples or families with small children. COMO Shambhala Retreat at COMO Maalifushi offers holistic, Asian-inspired treatments with views of the Indian Ocean, including signature massages, facials and reflexology. There are eight overwater ocean-facing treatment rooms, a gym, an open-air yoga pavilion, a yoga studio, and a steam room, sauna and jacuzzi with separate male and female facilities. Open 9.00am to 9.00pm.
Children
Play by COMO is the resort's children's programme, open 9.00am to 6.00pm. Babysitting is listed among the guest services, and there is a games room and a library.
House reef
The property map labels the Maalifushi House Reef on the island's perimeter. The resort is partnered with Reefscapers on an ongoing reef conservation project and shares new whale shark sightings with Ecocean; guests are invited to join the coral propagation programme.
