The island

Featuring 151 villas on the beach and in the lagoon, Joy Island is located in North Malé Atoll close from Velana International Airport, only 40 minutes away by speedboat. The shape of this beautiful island resembles a butterfly with its wide white sand beach, surrounded by a stunning turquoise lagoon.

Joy Island sits on Kassanfushi in North Malé Atoll, a 40-minute speedboat journey from Velana International Airport. The butterfly-shaped island has expansive white-sand beaches and a turquoise lagoon, with 151 villas along the beach and over the lagoon in nine categories, from a 50 sqm Beach Villa to a 300 sqm Beach Residence. Three restaurants and two bars, the Oasis Spa, a yoga pavilion and fitness centre, the Kiddie Cove kids club and a fully equipped water sports and diving centre sit on the island, and the house reef is reachable by a short swim from one side. Every guest receives the Joyful Benefits, including 24-hour island host service and complimentary non-motorised water sports.

The Oasis Spa offers a fusion of the best of Eastern and Western traditions with extensive therapeutic treatments, including Balinese massage, hot stone massage, aromatherapy and couple massage. Treatments are chargeable; guests on the All Inclusive Extreme package receive a 20% discount on all spa services.

Children

Kiddie Cove has a wide variety of activities to keep younger guests happy and entertained and is fully supervised by professional hosts.

House reef

There is a house reef on one side of the island, reachable by a short swim. The resort map marks a snorkelling zone, a watersports zone, safety buoy lines, and strong current / danger / no swimming zones, along with 'no coral breaking' notices. The resort runs marine conservation efforts throughout the year.
