The island

Imagine an island right in the middle of the Indian Ocean, with bright white beaches, a lagoon with multiple hues of blue and aquamarine and tall coconut palms swaying to the breeze. Villa Nautica is a chic and stylish resort on Paradise Island in North Male Atoll, celebrating what it calls 'Quayside Life' - a hub of activity surrounded by sparkling lagoons and idyllic beaches, with the lights of Male as an atmospheric backdrop. The island measures 1000m x 230m and holds 282 rooms across beach villas, water villas, pool villas and two-bedroom suites. It opened in 1994 and was last renovated in 2025. Guests are met at Velana International Airport and taken by a direct 20-minute speedboat transfer.
