The island

COMO Cocoa Island is an intimate private island retreat known locally as Makunufushi, in South Malé Atoll's sandy atolls, a 40-minute speedboat transfer south of Malé International Airport. The island is home to three house reefs wrapped in chalk-white beaches and turquoise waters, with accommodation shaped like traditional Maldivian 'dhoni' fishing boats up to a three-bedroom COMO Sunset Villa with its own infinity pool. Dining runs through Ufaa Restaurant and the foot-in-the-sand Faru Bar, alongside the COMO Shambhala Retreat wellness area and a Marine Sports Centre with access to some of the world's best dive sites.

COMO Shambhala Retreat offers healing traditions from Asia with natural therapies from earth and ocean, honed by international health consultants. Facilities: three double massage pavilions and one single massage pavilion, each with an outdoor shower/tub in the garden; an open-air yoga pavilion with ocean view; a gym with weights and cardio equipment; a hydrotherapy pool; a steam room with separate male/female facilities; and a Pilates studio featuring a Cadillac-Reformer machine. Resort Map: open 9:00am to 9:00pm. No treatment menu or prices appear in any document.
House reef
COMO Cocoa Island is home to three house reefs wrapped in chalk-white beaches and turquoise waters. The Resort Map marks a 'Private Jetty and House Reef' and an 'Arrival Jetty and House Reef', both bordering the lagoon.
